Materials Testing System reporting odd values for force or displacement

Readings from the MTS are incorrect

If the readings from the MTS are not behaving as expected, please try the following to push out the calibration file to the instrument.

Please use this calibration file to manage the calibration file to store the calibration within the instrument. The tab that is open describes the management of the calibration profile. Please transfer the existing profile from the workbook to the MTS by going through the directions in Managing Existing Calibration.

Manage Existing Calibration

When you select "Manage Existing Calibration" and click Next, step 3 is created and a new window is displayed as shown in Figure 5. The default, shown in the pull-down window, is the "active" calibration but you can select any of the saved files. You can then delete the calibration, change its name, or store it to the sensor (MTS unit). Note that only four calibrations can be stored in the MTS unit, and you will be prompted for which file you want to replace.

When using the above instructions, please push the calibration profile from the file for both the displacement and force.
