

The Ball Catcher is mounted on the Half-Meter Stick, forming a ballistic pendulum.

The Ball Catcher (ME-1252) can be mounted on the Half-meter Stick to do conservation of angular momentum experiments or to create a ballistic pendulum.

The Half-meter Stick is mounted on a Rotary Motion Sensor. A ball is shot into the Ball Catcher mounted on the end of the Half-meter Stick to do a conservation of angular momentum experiment.

This so-called "Half-Meter" Stick is actually 60 cm long. These aluminum meter sticks are rigid and straight. Because they are hollow, the aluminum meter stick has about the same mass as a wooden meter stick. Both sides are marked in centimeters.
The length of this stick makes it particularly useful for rotation and torque experiments in which the stick is rotated on a Pivot (ME-7034) or Rotary Motion Sensor using the meter stick clamp that is included in the Meter Stick Torque Mass Hanger Set (ME-7035).
